Health Care Support
Through medical support, the girls and poor rural women are facilitated to access preventive, curative, promotive and rehabilitative health services. The essence of implementing the Health care component is to improve access to quality health care for all girls, poor women and their household members. The major intervention areas are: assessing household health needs and referral , prevention of common illnesses among girls’ of different age; enhance access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support for girls and poor women; Promotion of hygiene and sanitation and lobbying for free treatment of girls in the government health facilities. The community volunteers plays a key role on follow ups of the girls and poor women referred for health care services. To support women and girls health challenges in the community especially in response to HIV/AIDS, Sexual Reproductive Health, Maternal Health and other health problems that affect women in Africa.
